AXON HOLDING SE is a holding company with its registered office in Larnaca, Cyprus. The company was established in 2014. The company was established as a European Company (Societas Europaea or SE) on the basis of Council Regulation (EC) No 2157/2001 of 8 October 2001 on the Statute for a European company (SE). The advantage of this type of company is better acceptability for foreign partners and investors. The company is governed by the laws of the European Union and by the laws of the country in which it has the registered office.

The main purpose of the company is to act as a holding company. The objective of AXON HOLDING SE is to become the holding company of a group of companies in the field of biotechnological research. For this purpose the company acquired 73.6pc of shares of AXON Neuroscience SE in 2015. The acquisition was financed through bonds issuance. AXON HOLDING SE intends to acquire further companies in the biotech industry, in particular in the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe.
